President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. rallied the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) in its General Assembly and National Convention at the Diamond Hotel Manila on Monday, as the political party gears up for the mid-term election next year.
“I’m very glad that we can see that there is progress that is happening as we move on in preparation for … well, filing (of candidacy) is our next big event. And, we have now within the PFP organized ourselves properly,” President Marcos said during the event.
“Although we (PFP) are the lead party, kasama tayo sa Alyansa at nakasama ang iba’t ibang partido. Lahat ng malalaking partido sa Pilipinas ay kasama ngayon natin. Kaya’t we have to do all of this in conjunction with them,” he said.
The President has witnessed in the past few months the alliance signing ceremonies between the PFP and other national political parties, which manifested the shared commitment to work towards national transformation to attain progress and uplift the living condition of Filipinos.
Formed in 2018, the PFP is a national political party in the Philippines chaired by President Marcos. It was formally accredited by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in October 2018. The party is pushing for federalism in the Philippines.
During the run-up to the 2022 national election, the UniTeam Alliance was formed by the PFP, the Lakas-CMD, Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP), and Partido ng Masang Pilipino (PMP), with guest candidates from other parties. Marcos won by a landslide in the general election. PND
