At least eight persons reported dead from ”Ulysses”

At least eight persons were reported dead from the onslaught of Typhoon ”Ulysses”, now moving westward over the West Philippine Sea, on Thursday.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) disclosed six casualties but only named two. They were Julie Ann Tanisa in Runrunu, Quezon and Mark Angelo Atabug in Jones, Isabela.
Ten persons were also missing, the PNP added.
Earlier, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in Bicol said two senior citizens died while four were missing in Camarines Norte.
In its report, OCD Bicol identified the fatality as  Avelino Cabanela, 68, who was found lifeless on the roof of his house  at Purok 1, Brgy. Bagasbas, Daet.
The other fatality was identified as Salva Mangubat, 70, from Brgy. Gabon, Talisay.
OCD Bicol said the deaths have to be verified by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Injured were Glenn Isaac, 38, Lorna Aguilar, 32, both from Mercedes; Samson Salgado, 54, Marvin Rojas, 31, of Basud and Rommel Madi, 45, Hilario Vibal, 45, Pio Paracale, 34, from Daet and Clive Paul Dichoso, 11, from Vinzons.
The missing were identified as Jessy Boy Alvarez, 33, Roland Alvarez, 48, Bobby Roderick Masaya, 19, from Brgy. Pinagtigasan, in the municipality of Vinzons and Noel Macayo from Mercedes. DMS/Robina Asido
