The Department of Health ( DOH) 4,842 coronavirus disease ( COVID-19) cases on Wednesday from Tuesday’s 4,734.

The low number of cases was due to some laboratories not submitting test results on Monday, DOH said.

This brought total cases to 1,118, 379 out of which 53, 214 were active. Mild cases accounted for 93 percent of active cases anf asymptomatic, 2.4 percent.

But severe cases rose to 1.9 percent from 1.8 percent followed by critical with 1.4 percent.

There were 94 persons who died from COVID-19, raising total deaths to 18, 714.

A total of 8,312 persons got well, bringing total recoveries to 1,046, 431, DMS
