After three days of causing damage over Northern Mindanao, parts of the Visayas and in Palawan, Typhoon ”Odette” left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), dzBB reported Saturday.
”Odette” left PAR at 12:48, the network cited a report of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
”We have not issued a bulletin saying it has left PAR because tropical cyclone warning signals are still up in some areas,” said Pagasa weather forecaster Raymund Ordinario.
Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number Three is at Kalayaan Island and Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number is over the western part of Palawan, including Puerto Princesa City.
”Odette” left at least 12 persons dead and untold damage to infrastructure.
President Rodrigo Duterte will fly over to Northern Mindanao Saturday to survey the damage and talk to local officials.
As of Pagasa’s 11 am bulletin, ”Odette” was 155 kilometers east of Pag-Asa Island. It had maximum sustained winds of 155 km/h near the center, gusts of up to 190 km/h, and central
pressure of 955 hectopascals.
It was moving west at 25 km/h. DMS
