The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) ended 55.73 points lower to end at 6,560.22 on Friday.
Volume reached 715.82 million shares worth P3.95 billion from Thursday’s 750 million shares valued at P3.8 billion.
In the broader market, there were 98 declines, 79 advances and 37 unchanged.
Most active shares were led by ICT, down P5 to P195; SM Investments Corp., up P4 to P920; SM Prime Holdings, unchanged at P34 and Petron Corp., up 45 centavos to P4.65.
The peso closed at P55.79 against the dollar from Thursday’s P56.065. Volume at the foreign exchange portal of the Bankers Association of the Philippines amounted to $986.2 million from $1.637 billion. DMS
