The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) finished 16.69 points higher to 6,241.69 on Wednesday.
Volume reached 459.94 million shares worth P3.84 billion from Tuesday’s 437.48 million shares valued at P3.41 billion.
In the broader market, there were 95 declines, 91 advances and 40 unchanged.
Most active shares were led by Century Pacific Food, up 45 centavos to P29.10; BDO Unibank, down 90 centavos to P137.70; Ayala Corp., down P8 to P620; BPI, up 80 centavos to P105.
The peso finished at P56.94 against the dollar from P56.8 on Tuesday.
Volume amounted to $1.355 billion from the previous day’s $1.522 billion. DMS
