Marcos justifies P10 million reward for info on Quiboloy
President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. on Wednesday defended the P10 million reward, which comes from private funds, to anyone who can give information where is Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
Quiboloy and five others have arrest warrants from courts in Davao City and Pasay City over alleged sexual abuse cases.
In an interview with Palace reporters, Marcos said there is nothing wrong if private citizens want to help the government to bring Quiboloy to justice.
“Why are they [Quiboloy camp] always questioning us? We are just following the law. He should also follow the law,” he said.
Quiboloy’s lawyer, Ferdinand Topacio, said the reward amount as being “excessive” to what his client is being accused of.
Marcos said Quiboloy should face the allegations against him in person.
“He (Quiboloy) can question their motives as much as they want, but he should stop hiding,” the President said. DMS
