PDEA raids two shabu labs in Ayala Alabang

Authorities arrested three suspects, including one Frenchman and Canadian in two separate drug raids in Ayala Alabang in Muntinlupa City Friday.

Seized were around 22 kilos of suspected shabu worth P136 million in the first raid and two kilos of the prohibited substance valued at P13.6 million in the second. The total amount reached P149.6 million.

Arrested in the first raid were Frenchman Aurelien Cythere, 41, and Mark Anthony Sarayot, 42.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel served the search warrant at the “medium scale suspected shabu laboratory” inside a house at No. 304 Mabolo Street, Ayala Alabang Village.

The second target at 523 Madrigal Avenue Ayala Alabang yielded two kilograms of suspected shabu worth ₱13,600,000 and various laboratory equipment, identification cards, and 5 mobile phones.

The operating team arrested Ariana Golesorkhi, alias ‘Kano’, a 33-year-old male Canadian who was born in Iran.

“These suspects are linked to Mexican, Australian and Canadian drug trafficking groups. We are currently investigating these links and several other drug personalities,” said Assistant Secretary Gregorio Pimentel, PDEA officer-in-charge who personally led the operation.

The arrested drug suspects will be facing charges for violation of Sections 8, 11, and 12 of Article II, Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Robina Asido/DMS

 

Anti-drug agents arrest son of Justice Secretary Remulla for being claimant of high grade marijuana

Anti-drug agents arrested the son of Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla on Tuesday in Las Pinas.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Authority (PDEA) interagency drug interdiction task group arrested a Juanito Jose Diaz Remulla III after he was found to be the claimant of around two packets of containg suspected kush, or high grade marijuan worth P1.30 million  from San Diego, California.
He was nabbed in a controlled delivery operation on Tuesday at BF Resort Village, Las Pinas.
Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla said in a Facebook post that Juanito Jose Diaz Remulla is his nephew. The governor said he is the eldest son of the justice secretary.
The governor said the justice secretary ”has pledged that he will not, in any way interfere, intervene, nor use any of his affiliations to influence the charges against his son.”
”I personally feel that while he deserves all of my empathy, there will
be no support extended in terms of using my position in government. While
he is family, my oath as Cavite governor and as a public servant is
paramount above any of his alleged transgressions,” Governor Remulla said.
” We would like to thank the PDEA for doing their job. We were never
informed of their operation and they were correct in doing so,” he added.
Governor Remulla said their family ”devastated with these developments, most especially my 87-year-old mother.”
PDEA said the younger Remulla is undergoing custodial investigation for eventual inquest prosecution for violation of RA No. 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 in relation to Sections 119 and 1401 and of RA 10863 also known as the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
