Olympic champion Hidilyn Diaz-Naranjo, competing in a new weight category, finished fourth in the Asian Weightlifting Championship in South Korea Sunday.

Chinese Liu Shilang and Pei Xinyi finished 1-2 while Taiwanese Kuo Hsing-Chun finished third in the 59 kilo category.

Liu had a total lift of 230 kilos, Pei 236 kilos and Kuo, 230. Diaz-Naranjo had a total of 221. Eileen Ando did not place.

Diaz-Naranjo won the Philippines’ first Olympic gold medal in the Olympics but by topping the 55 kilo category. DMS
